TOWER INTERNATIONAL CAFE

Tower Café was born from a vision I had in the fall of 1987—a dream to transform one of Sacramento's most cherished historic landmarks (The Tower), once the original location of TOWER RECORDS, into a very special social and dining experience. A place where the hearts, minds, appetites, and stories from our diverse communities can come together as one small "global village," united by the love of our unique cultural differences, their art and traditions, and the wonderful diversity we share with nature-which connects and sustains all of us to the mother we all share in common—Our Good Earth.

On a beautiful Sunday morning, April 22, 1990 (Earth Day's 20th anniversary), I opened the doors of Tower Café, sharing a worldwide vision of community, culture, and culinary charm with the people of Sacramento and the greater region of Northern California.

Over the years, and in the same spirit that has brought a tapestry of art and culture inside Tower Café, your support has also allowed us to develop a vibrant tapestry of landscapes outside the café, its patio, and the theater, surrounding the entire property with fully grown towering palm trees, fountains, and a park setting for all of Tower's patrons. These are gifts to you and the "City of Trees" for embracing Tower Cafe and all its endeavors. It has taken the better part of 35 years to accomplish this. All the artwork, every tree, shrub, plant, flower, and fountain is a tribute to the beauty of our different lives, histories, cultures, and stories-and the enduring spirit that ties all of us to the home we all share—Our Good Earth.
